It all started with a fierce need to be with my stones, my rock collection. Jon and I were newlyweds living in a tiny cabin in Hot Springs, MT at the time with a small dog, Cosimo, and way too much stuff. Also, no room to enjoy my rocks, crystals and altars. I began setting up my Hot Springs rock shop on a small table in the Symes Hotel Lobby. I realized that I had way more fun selling them because the people who bought the rocks, crystals, gems were so happy and I was putting prices on them that satisfied my loss. This really opened up something meaningful for me. I realized that not only were the stones, rocks, crystals valueable, but I am a valuable resource, too! My knowledge of geology and rock identification has earned me respect in the rock shop business. When people come to town, they ask themselves, "Where is The Rock Girl?" and most know to find me on 206 Main Street at my store location. There is another rock shop in Hot Springs, MT which is home to amazing Lo Hua Odekirk. She is one of my mentors and couselors. She has a good set-up at her rock shop in Hot Springs, MT. We compliment each other. SHeesh, Lo Hua married Jon and I 9/1/2012 right here in Hot Springs, MT!!! I love her!
In my journey I imagined having the rock shop of my dreams someday in a cool little town and here I am now looking at the most beautiful manifestation of a rock and crystal shop well beyond my expectations in the gorgeous and highly energestic Hot Springs, Montana. Its an awesome ride.
